The story of Burleigh Ware is one of potters, potteries and pots.  It tells how five generations of potters steered a family firm, Burgess & Leigh, through the  changing fortunes of the British ceramics industry and how in the early years of the twentieth century it gave rise to some of Britains most significant and collectable pots.

The factory opened in 1829 and is still in production today under the name Burgess, Dorling & Leigh.
